In that instant, she delivered a statement that sent shockwaves through my being: "It's not a matter of if, but a matter of WHEN you will get diabetes."

 

The Weight of Fear and Uncertainty:

Those words struck me like a thunderbolt, causing my heart to sink into the depths of my stomach.
